Pink Par-Tee 501c3 Fund donations go directly to women of mid-Michigan who are in active treatment fighting breast cancer. A breast cancer diagnosis can destroy the financial health of a patient, as many patients are unable to work. Pink Par-Tee funds provide financial support to help meet the critical expenses such as housing, utilities and transportation.
Plus, funds have also gone toward:
- Four prone breast boards used in radiation therapy, which greatly increases treatment accuracy and success.
- “Breast cancer care packs” given to patients undergoing breast cancer radiation or chemotherapy treatments, and Kroger and gas gift cards.
- Free mammogram services helping local woman regardless of their ability to pay.
- Treatment goggles that greatly aid in the timing of breathing during treatment.
Each year the Pink Par-Tee 501c3 Fund chooses organization(s) that are able to distribute monies raised per the intent of the fund. Monies are then given to the organization whereby fund usage is approved and tracked by the organization and Pink Par-Tee leadership. Once diagnosed, your life changes, you are now a survivor and the support of funds like ours makes surviving just a little easier.
In addition to benefiting breast cancer patients, The Pink Par-Tee fund encourages the event’s Title Sponsor to choose a non-profit dear to them in which we bring awareness and a donation. For example, in 2019 250 children’s books and cuddly bears were given to cancer patients at Mott Children’s Hospital in Ann Arbor. In 2018 Career Dress of Pontiac, MI received over 70 bras that were donated during our fundraising events.
One social worker described the impact of the Pink Par-Tee fund this way,
“Crying, smiles, relief – like a load had been lifted from their shoulders – is the reaction I see from patients. One lady was in tears. She said she was so grateful for the Pink Par-Tee fund for making her feel special. The new wig she received would help her adjust to being hairless. She was overwhelmed to think that random people would do this for her and others.”

Over 300 Breast Cancer Care Gift Bags have been distributed.
In 2016 and 2017 patients at Genesys Hurley Cancer Institute (GHCI) were provided a bag of essentials (see contents to the right) adorned with a note from Warwick Ladies. A gift card to the on-site boutique to purchase head wraps/wigs is included in the bag. We thought you would appreciate some feedback from patients, through the eyes of the volunteers that work at the boutique:
“One lady was in tears when she came in. When she left she said she was so grateful to the Ladies of Warwick for making her feel special. The new wig she received would help her adjust to being hairless. She was overwhelmed to think the Ladies would do this for her and others.”
“Lots of the cancer patients thank me and many give me hugs. So the Warwick Ladies can consider themselves hugged.”
“Crying, smiles, relief – like a load had been lifted from their shoulders – is the reaction I see from patients.”
“Patients are so surprised and overwhelmed about receiving a free wig headband or wig hat. There is a disbelief that in today’s world the Ladies of Warwick have rallied around them, supported them, given them beautiful items that pamper them and make them feel cared for.”
“The initial response is disbelief, then awe. Everyone has been so thankful and they feel blessed at receiving such a gift. Most get emotional and can’t believe in the midst of all their turmoil, they are being given a gift. Some, you can tell, do not have the resources to get these things for themselves. They truly are grateful.”
